At SQUER, Data Science is not a research playground. It’s about owning real business problems end to end: from vague client questions to models that actually run in production and move KPIs. In this role, you work close to our clients, translate complex questions into analytical solutions, and help turn models into measurable impact in production environments.

Your tasks

Own end-to-end use cases: Translate business problems into data science and machine learning solutions from problem framing to model validation and measurable business impact
Build models that matter: Apply statistics, feature engineering, and modeling techniques to build robust and meaningful models with a clear focus on robustness, interpretability, and usefulness
Make models production-ready: Support deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and drift detection. You care about what happens after the first release.
Work closely with Engineers and Platform teams: Collaborate closely with Engineers and Platform teams to move models from experimentation into scalable, maintainable systems.
Act as a trusted advisor: Advise clients, challenge assumptions, and adapt your approach depending on context and maturity
Communicate with clarity: Explain insights, limitations, and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Your qualifications

Applied Data Science experience: Hands-on experience building data science or ML solutions with real business relevance
Strong analytical foundation: Solid knowledge of statistics, feature engineering, and model evaluation - and when not to use complex models.
Production mindset: Experience or strong interest in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining models in production
Collaboration skills: Proven ability to work effectively with engineering and platform teams
Consulting experience: Experience in consulting or client-facing roles, or a clear ability to think pragmatically, ask the right questions, and adapt to context.
Communication skills: Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and pragmatically
Language skills: Very good English skills; German is a big advantage
